A homage to the monthly feature from the Japanese street-style bible Kerouac, Hair Wars documents the dyes, spikes, bangs, and cuts on the streets of London in all their glory. Shot over the duration of a year, the project frames experimental hair as a DIY antidote to some of the more 'gatekept' contemporary fashion movements, something that can be 'as democratic as a pack of box dye, a pair of hair clippers and a willingness to get creative'.
